Check pawn shops - they often separate guitars from their bags/cases and sell separately. Ask if they have any in the back. Music stores that sell used stuff do the same.
FWIW, I just rehydrated the Music Nomad sponges I use for my two acoustic guitars. One is my Martin 12-string which came with a well-made gigbag. The other is my Godin Metropolis Classic QIT which is stored in a TRIC case. The sponge in the Martin case was mostly dried out and in need of water. The sponge in the TRIC case was still soft and damp. That’s enough for me to know which gigbag is superior. I may need another TRIC for the Martin.TRIC cases are top-notch.
I picked one up for $25. Probably the best gig bag I've ever owned.I really like the PRS SE gig bags. Can sometimes be found used for thirty to fifty bucks.
That gig bag costs more than literally every guitar I own except for one.You get what you pay for in gig bags. They are expensive but if you are looking for an heirloom lifetime gig bag, these are it. Mine is acquiring that cool patina, looking really nice.
