Hi all,

First time poster. Long time lurker. :)

I purchased a Fender Telecaster body which has been described as a 2011 60th anniversary telecaster by the original owner, and I'd like to confirm as much info about it as possible. My ultimate aim is to try and restore it to its former glory. Can you help identify which model it is, please?

Here are a few pics of it:

There are some neck markings and a couple of stickers with product numbers (0090814-668). The sticker on it says: "Body 60th Anniv Tele Ash BGB DRY".

It looks like it has three slots for pickups, which I guess means it is a nashville style body, or am I wrong. (Is the neck pickup position drilled for a humbucker?)

Ive already searched online and contacted Fender but got no response. Am hoping some of you have time to share your thoughts and opinions.

Some additional specific questions:

Is this a Nashville tele or perhaps a Deluxe Tele or Telebration tele from 2011?
What does BGB DRY mean on the sticker?
Which Fender telecaster necks would fit this body, do you think?

BIG Thanks for reading!

The only thing I can help with is the sticker, BGB (paint code 68) could possibly be Blackguard Blonde which was the standard color for the 60th Anniv Tele.
The body routs are the same as the American Standard.

Thanks mate.

And by 60th Anniv Tele do you mean one of the Telebration models or simply that it was a Tele made in 2011? ( I believe all Tele's made in 2011 got branded as anniversary models that year, but I could be wrong of course.)

It was a special version of the American Standard with thin skin nitro finish not part of the Telebration series. This is from the 2011 Fender Frontline catalog

I have a “garden variety” 2011 American Standard, it it does indeed have a 60th anniversary neck plate.

Mine is a MIM 60th Anniversary. It came with a white Pickguard replaced with black.

This is for a Guitar Center FSR based on the official 60th Anniversary Tele.

The Blackguard Blonde had vintage pickups not American Standard. The OPs body color fits in with the GC spec but the sticker has the wrong paint code. 68 is Blackguard Blonde, 2TS is 03. Could be a typical Fender "error".

Thank you for all the great replies and knowledge. I really appreciate you all taking your time to share your insights.

I got some responses from Fender this morning. Ive copied their response below. It seems to be an American Series Fender. Still not clear what model it is or year. Also, not sure which pickup formation it is routed for, to me it looks like three pickups a la nashville.

I asked Fender which scale length neck would fit and they surprised me by saying any tele neck would fit.I had presumed this would be a complicated task to figure out.

Fender also said: "This is an American Series body, a series that briefly replaced the American Standard Series. Any dedicated Telecaster neck will work for it, you just need to decide on your budget and needs."
