Hi all, anyone have experience with this speaker ? specifically the 10" version.
Here's my story, i recently got a Peavey Transchorus 210, it's powerful, fairly light, the chorus is gorgeous, drive channel unusable and the spring reverb tank is pretty alright.
I got it because i started playing in a soon to be touring band and they have requested that i use a beater amp with lots and lots of clean headroom, in other words, a solid state amp. Didn't have a lot of money so bought this fairly cheaply.
Now it sounds good for some stuff, but when it comes to funky riffs aka strumming muted chords it has a sort of "clank" sound to it, feels like concrete strings hitting a moving truck for lack of better words, i'm not the most technical but i would attribute this to having really heavy mids, i leave the mid EQ at 0 and it still is too much, from what i gather online (youtube demos) blue marvel speakers seem to be the culprit.
now it would be great if i could get away with a speaker swap, would be cost effective but i'd really love to hear from others with similar experience perhaps ?
Thanks !!
