I have been a Nancy Wilson fan since the first time I saw Heart, in a bar in Waukegan, IL, probably in 1975. It was only in the past decade, though, that I realized that we have similar taste in guitars. I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II and a Nighthawk Standard before I knew of her involvement in the design and endorsement of both guitars.

I'm not knocking Chrissie, but Nancy's my girl.

Just before my birthday in September, my bestie asked me who my favorite guitarists were. I named about 5, Nancy being one of them (along with Samantha Fish, Poison Ivy, Pete Townshend, & John Fogerty).

A week later I got a package that contained a necklace. The pendant contained a piece of used guitar string from one of Nancy's guitars (I joke that it was probably some of the excess cut off from restricting but I don't care if it is). It came with a certified card stating that Nancy donated it to the company, etc. Very thoughtful and sweet gift from the bestie.
