I used to use them on my strats.
Just because. No real reason. They are not that much different to my ears.
I have been using Ernie Ball purple slinky's (eleven's) for years on all my electrics and am well satisfied.

I’ve been using the .010” set on my ‘52 RI for the past year and have liked them. Planning on trying them on my Strat in the near future.

They are very good for taming the highs, but i think Regular Slinkies
are a warm string, with a tad of brightness. Perfect for single coils.

Love 'em; there's a small shop near me that sells them, and I go out of my way to pick them up whenever possible. They have a softer feel than to me, and sort of a spongier, more compressed sound. DR Pure Blues are similar, but I've had several packs of those with QC issues, unfortunately, whereas the Ernie Balls are utterly consistent and cheap.

Nope.

I love polly webs. Thr rubber like coating last for years. And change strings less. The coating do not come off when I play them either.

Yes, I'm a fan/user of the Ernie Ball Classic Rock n Roll Strings. 11-48
They have a great full, fat, warm balanced tone.

I like them way better than D Addario. I find D Adarrio to have this weird mid-range krang sound or something that's too aggressive for me.

I love flatwounds too, but the EB Pure Nickel seems to be a nice in-between flatwound and roundwound.

I also like GHS Boomers, but what do I know :)
