I have a couple of mid-60's 8" Oxfords that came out of Fender Champs. One is dead, the other is dying.
I'd like to try to recone them myself. I know the various parts that go into reconing a speaker, but I'm not sure of the specifics for the parts (i.e. the exact voice coil diameter, the exact cone specs, etc.)
For any of you who have done this, did you buy yours parts a la carte (i.e. the way Weber sells them) or did you get a recone kit with all the parts included? Where did you buy your stuff?
Thanks
