I know he used it on About Face. I also heard that he used it on Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall. I find it amazing that so many guitarist use and promote a certain guitar on stage and in promo photos, and then you find out that they recorded all their best stuff on a Telecaster. Check out Paul McCartney live at the cavern with DG on lead guitar. He plays his Telecaster.
I'm wondering if it's the same Telecaster in the older photos and About Face.

Man, I love "the Workmate"

I love Dave Gilmour's playing. I really love that black Tele with the Bigsby.

I just discovered that it's a baritone w/a 27" scale length. Together w/the Bigsby, it must sound really cool.

Gilmour started off using Barrets Tele, then in florida a truck got stolen all of the gear was returned except all of the guitars lost was the tele that gilmours parents bought for him and a white strat plus several basses etc, a quick trip to mannies in New york and the black strat came into being.

Apparently started life out as an Esquire but Seymour Duncan wound him a strat type pickup for the neck .I just love his slow singing and that solo rips. My dream guitar- to have one that looks and sounds so good.
