Just picked up this sweet amp has almost seems to be to good to be true.

Its supposed to be in like new condition........I paid under $1000. Too good to be True?Alinco speakers, Tube reverb, tremelo........Zinky makes a good amp and I bought it from a very high rated store.

Anyone else have one ? Played one? I also have a Gretch Billy-bo on the way and I kind of sweetened the deal and got this amp with it for what I thought was too good to be True.

My Teles hopefully will love it too! Anyone else ? I'm super stoked tonight!!

That's my dream amp you just picked up - I don't own one (yet....) but have played through the 115 version. It's a HUGE sounding amp. That's tube tremolo in there too. You tele will sound great through it, believe me.

Under $1000 is an awesome price, congrats. It's going to cost me $3000+ to get one here! Could you post a few more pics of it when you get it??

Oh for sure! A tele and a New Billy Bo! I can't wait. i have a 3x10 Victoria as well and I plan on putting them in stereo. I don't understand why it was so cheap. I won't believe it until I get it I guess. ;)

Killer amp! The Trem is too die for! It just pulsates! Its a modern amp , but it has a very Vintage feel and sound to the amp. Only problem.........its heavier then my 68' SF Twin! I mean its BACK BREAKING. This will never leave the Music room. Just moving it around the room was a chore, and Trust me........I'm no lightweight. One of the best Gear deals I ever got for under $1000. Its worth double that easily IMO.

Its definitely a great amp.......but man is it heavy! Are you going to gig with this bad boy? If so I would highly reccomend the head version unless you can Bench 400 pounds or have a Team of roadies. :D
I'm no lightweight , but this amp is just crazy heavy. That's the only fault I can find with it and maybe the reason I got it so cheap? KILLER pulsating Trem! No pedal or amp can match it! It can go slow enough to sound almost like a delay, such a great retro John Fogerty kind of thing happening. I LOVE it!
Do you want close up Pics of anything in Particuliar?

Yeah, I will be when I eventually get one, but at the moment I'm still saving for the 50% deposit needed for the store to get one in... The new ones are made with Neodymium speaker magnets so they'll like be a pound or so lighter :D

Don't scrimp on the speakers! the 3x10" Alinco speakers sound fantasic. they have Supro labels on it and I guess are designed for the amp. Sound much different then the 3x10 weber Alinco speakers in my Victoria band master. These are way loser....really have that Vintage Vibe going. You would need to cut a good 10-15 pounds off this thing to make it truley giggable IMO.

Its a good size bigger then my Victoria as well. I think its the Cabinet that adds most of the weight. Its pretty though, and I love that Supro Speaker grill cloth! If I was a serious gigging Muscian, I got this amp cheap enough , That I would have it turned into a head and buy a 3x10 cab.

However , I moved my drum kit all the way to the right and made a spot for it next to my Juke 12210 and I don't think I'll ever move it again..........:D:cool:

Hello,

Great set up. I just pick one of these up (Blue/White/Signed) and man, what a tone machine. I agree with your comment about the speakers. Many custom amp makers voice their amps with their speaker choice and the two go hand in hand. A good hay dolly from "Tractor Supply" with spare the back. The tone of this amp with the 3 10's is worth a tight back and the amp banging off your knee every once in a while.

Cheers,

Randy

Hello,

Thanks. The drive channel is what surprises me the most. It is very touch sensitive and allows for ample tone freedom with the guitar volume. I play mostly blues and enjoy putzing with rockabilly. With a little slap back echo I catch myself admiring the tone as opposed playing music...not a bad place to be....

I have this amp running with a BF Super Reverb and a Blankenship Fat Boy Supreme with Sour Cream...after years of trial and error I think that I now have a great tone. At least for a few weeks anyway...:>)

I will post pics soon of the Blue/White Supro. It's a tad different than the std. brown/White...

Cheers,

R
