So on G&L's nice new polished website the Fullerton Doheny is described as the "Fullerton Deluxe Doheny HH", and the description goes into some detail about the humbuckers.

But the pictures clearly show the guitars with JM style single coil pickups. The description also mentions colour options not shown in the pictures.

So, which is wrong: the copy or the photos? Or has G&L taken to disguising its humbuckers as MFDs? See link for suspicious content.

Wide bobbin MFDs? Maybe the model name HH implies humbuckers, but they describe them only as having bucker tones.

This has been up for a couple of weeks. You'd think they could fix it.
There were mistakes on the old site for years. As much as I like G&L, they - and a lot of other big-name guitar brands - apparently outsource the writing of web copy to teams of groundhogs. And you know nothing's going to get fixed during hibernation season.

When I read corrections letters - example Vintage Guutar Magazine - the letter writer almost always sounds like a pedantic s.o.b.
Is there a way to inquire (is this really HH?) rather than sounding like they won a copy editing gig?
Yes, copy-editing has been one of my gigs.
Non-pretentiously yours, Deeve

I was an editor for 20+ years. Yes, it's a simple enquiry: which is right, the pictures or the copy?

It's definitely a mistake, the humbucker version is called the v12 and I can't for the life of me see them having two humbucker models and one single coil model of a jazzmaster, that would be blaspheme.
[edit] this appears to be copy from the espada HH or the skyhawk HH.
Also, I suggest getting a G&L and checking them out if you haven't already; I love my fullerton deluxe doheny.

One of the classic car mags I subscribe to has a Pedant of the Month award. I love that. (I have never won.)

Agreed - they really don't quite know how to maintain a website. This mistake is kind of extra appalling since they just launched their new site 2 weeks ago - you would think that they would have proofread the site carefully before it went live. The only company that is further behind the times with their website is Rickenbacker - who hadn't updated their site since the early 2000s and is currently off-line.

It looks like they lifted the text from the Fullerton Deluxe Doheny HH model - which is evidently now discontinued - instead of the text from the "regular" Fullerton Deluxe Doheny with the MFDs.
