Hi Scott,

I've ordered some custom-made waterslides from a shop called Ekraft Decals, run by a guy named Alfredo Martin from Argentina. I just check he has opened an etsy-shop.
I was happy with the outcome.

I've ordered from Rothko and Frost in the past.

The decals themselves were very good, but there were some inconsistencies across batches: I'd reorder the same design, and elements of the decal would not be laid out the same way. You might not notice unless you were looking at the two batches side by side, but it bothered me.

The first time I called out the inconsistency, they were very helpful and reproduced the order to match my existing decals.

The second time it happened, my experience was not nearly as positive. I don't know if the designer was offended or what happened, but the discussion devolved enough that I decided I'd need to find a new supplier, so I'll be watching this thread with interest.

These days I don't know of any custom waterslide decal makers that I can recommend. There are some offered on Etsy, but the few I've tried there are incredibly flimsy and extreme care must be used to avoid damage during application.

There was a site in the UK that was doing them awhile back that folks seemed to like. Anyone know the name of that shop?

I think you probably are thinking of Rothko and Frost.

Crox is based in the UK - I checked them out because people in forums had nothing but positive things to say about their decals.

I really liked Rothko & Frost. They came out just as I had hoped. I've used them for three different projects. The quality was high and the price was reasonable.

I passed on them because they do not offer a "sphagetti logo" font. If I were looking for a transition or late-'60s font I may have gone with them.

I started making my own and I haven't looked back.

Link for laser printer waterslide paper

Amazon product ASIN B07FSF69RM
Link for inkjet waterslide paper

Amazon product ASIN B077TMFVL9
I recommend the laser because with the inkjet you have to spray acrylic on the back to get it not to smudge. Laser just gives you a better product without that step. But if you don't have access to a laser printer then there's that.

If you need help designing a decal I can help you out. Just message me and we can figure something out. The benefit in doing it yourself is that you can print about 1000 decals for the price of buying 2 or 3. Then when you mess up the decal instead of having to reorder you can just cut another one off your sheet.

Let me know if you need any more help or advice on it! You can even backfill them with gold or silver paint for that classic look.
