The new Spiderverse movie is awesome (and I hate superhero movies)

Saw it last night with my youngest in the theater

most all cape movies suck and suck hard, ok? Batman and Iron Man franchises being the exceptions.
But these last two spiderman animated metaverse-themed ones have been incredible, visually and everything-ally

So is the new Guardians of the Galaxy..
that's the groot and mixtape one, right?
Yeah I'll pass.
My kids are grown up now, and I no longer have to watch that dreck

Speaking of classic rock in conjunction with soundtracks, last night's trailers had one using "walk on the wild side", and I told my son, jeez why don't they just go all-out and use pink floyd? and the very next trailer did just that

if I never again in my life hear "I feel goood....dah dah lah dah lah dah lahd" in a movie context I shall die a happy blowtorch

I saw the commercial for this and thought…I’m too old to follow all that. I felt the same about the last Dr. Strange add but it turned out to be a great movie

Alot of it was over my head (I'm not that well-versed in the lore/canon) and too rapid-fire quick-witted for me, but I enjoyed it lots just the same, very stimulating I thought

The spider verse films are a much needed breath of fresh air for Marvel fatigue. They’re such a unique visual powerhouse of animation and clearly setting the bar high for animation to come. The trailer for the new teenage mutant ninja turtles movie looks to be of direct lineage.

That said, it’s *way* fast paced even more so than the first. The rapid fire delivery of everything warrants a second viewing (if not for the visuals alone) and is properly suited for the short attention span of this tiktak generation lol

Planning on taking my daughter to a movie and dinner on Father’s Day. Since that Barbie flick won’t yet be out, this might be the one. Thanks for the head’s up!

I just can't do Anime....looks like badly drawn comics.
Anime is an art form unto itself, and this movie is not anime per se although it would be fair to say that it's anime-influenced to a large degree...but that is most current animation
