I really like adjusting reverb, delay, etc., as I go, especially since I'm our group's sole guitar player. I often use two amps, and like to vary the wet and dry's relative contributions.

Thanks for your advice.

Are we talking about a volume pedal or an expression pedal? One adjusts volume. The other adjust effect pedal parameters like delay time, etc.

I've gigged with an Ibanez VL10 for the last 35=40 years and it's still going strong with never, ever a problem. It's stereo and an be used as a regular old volume pedal, or to pan between two amps.

It has a great feel and throw.

I like my Roland (?) $20 simple keyboard old school Volume Pedal as well as any of the fancier optical etc ones I've tried. It's just a volume pot attached to a gear. No electronics other than that. Similar to this but not even this fancy!

For a volume pedal, the Ernie Ball VPJR has served me well for years. But it sounds like you want an expression pedal for adjusting effect params.

Hmmmm. I like the idea of the pan, as I often use two amps, in the wet and dry mode.....

I'll have to look into that. My goal is pretty simple. (It would have to be, given my all-thumbs electronics skills.) Increasing a reverb/delay pedal's input into a given amp. I realized I do have a volume pedal on hand. So I'll fiddle around with placement, etc., to try to make this work. If I can't, I'll look into the Ibanez VL10/panning pedal approach that BB suggested above, and the expression pedal approach. Our venue is a fairly reverby place to begin with, so I need just a subtle variability. (It's too bad you can't clip a little pedal control knob onto your guitar itself. I'd rather use fingers than feet....)

Thanks for your replies, everyone.
