How to Make a Rock Star

Buried in the noise of the current wasteland that is popular music, there are a few young folks doing it the old fashioned way--without slick production tricks slapped on a corporate-manufactured mix of fake personalities.

You've probably heard the saying, "before ProTools there were pros," and bands like Starcrawler are among the leaders of the Renaissance of Rock and Roll. They record their music in the studio on 2" tape because they prefer the most organic approach to creating music.

True rock and roll begins at a very young age. It's an attitude; the music and the instruments are secondary to that. Here's guitarist Henri Cash, talking about how he got where he is today. He's 20. Incredible.

This gives me hope for the future.
