Several weeks ago I had Tonerider Hot Classics installed in my Squier Affinity Telecaster. Nice sound, better than the stock ones IMHO. The bridge has a nice bite, but my favorite is the middle position. Very happy with this mod. Playing through my Boss Katana 50 mk2 with a WGS Invader 50 in it. Loving the sounds. Rock on good people.

Personally, I really like Tonerider pickups. While I have not tried all their models, I have tried many of their offerings. Great company imho.

That was one of two brands I had finally settled on before I was spoiled by Rob D's pickups. They are very nice, and affordable. Pickup Wizard was the other, but he was more than I was willing to pay. I can't see any reason to pay more than 80.00 per coil at most. Tone Rider and Rob D are proof of that.

I have this set installed on a cheap 90's Asian Tele and they are outstanding. Neck PU is the closest Tele PU I've heard to a fat strat neck pickup.

"Rob D's" are probably the BEST pickups I've ever played through. No affiliation. I actually purchased mine used, and he treated me like a new customer when I corresponded with him. EXCELLENT PICKUPS!!

Yeah, Toneriders are good, and good value. I've got some hot classics, and also some Strat pickups, and the odd stray humbucker.

I find them pretty bright, generally. But I kind of like that.

Alnico 3. I have always wanted to try a set of those... but I don't have a tele to put them in! (except my #1, which does not get touched- it's perfect.)

I have those in my tele with the 4 way switch I think they sound fine but honestly don't have another T style to compare them with. I just ordered a set of tonerider Alnico Blues for a Tele I've just started will see how they sound.

I had been using ToneRider and Pickup Wizard, but Rob really ruined everything for me pickup wise. I haven't used anything else since around 2010, which is saying something. I previously would change out pickups every few months or so. So you could say Rob has saved me a small fortune.

I have a stock 2013 vintage blonde 50s Classic Vibe Tele that reportedly has ToneRider A3 pickups. I have been very pleasantly surprised by how great those stock pickups sound.

Ditto on Rob D's Cavalier pickups as well. I have 4 of his Tele bridge pickups and they are all great. But his newer Holy Grail Nocaster pickup is the best all-round Tele bridge pickup I've found yet. A little fatter, rounder, and louder without sacrificing that great 50's Tele Twang. Just beautiful! And yes, his customer service is off the chain.

I have a Fat Lion in the bridge of the Tele in my avatar; Huge Lion and Fat Lioness combo in my parts Tele that is a LP Special killer.

Fantastic pickups, great customer service!

Could you compare/contrast the Fat and Huge Lion? Are they significantly different? I had a Huge but it wasn’t for me.
