I saw a image of a Les Paul with an Apricot Burst finish that I thought to be very beautiful
I am not enamored with sunburst finished ( just bought a Epiphone Les Paul and Chose a Black Finish
over the proffered "Banana-Guacamole Burst":p:rolleyes:) but this finish is very beautifully done.
"The color is somewhere between cherry and iced tea. It looks like a burst that has just a hint of cherry left and not all the way to a tea burst."
sorry no images

The iced tea burst on the 60s Standard is so choice. The custom shop usually does a good job with theirs. I’ve never heard of apricot burst for an LP, but I don’t care about the name of the finish since I’ve never been able to describe my ideal burst in words anyway.

I like it too.

Still Prefer what they call “Dirty Lemon” and some nice flame with mineral streaks with some faded red still at the edge of the finish. Yep that’s the tops for me.

But the new - and used for that matter - prices are more than I can stomach.

This is what I thought too. It looks like the lovely tea burst and I had never heard of “apricot burst” either.

Good lookin' guitars. Who made the Staples on the gold top?

They’re Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Alnico V Staple.
They weren’t cheap, but they’re worth it.
The SDCS went the extra three miles.
First they made one of them RWRP.
Next they made a custom long bridge pickup cover.
Lastly, they wound the bridge pickup slightly hotter.
Bravo, Seymour Duncan Custom Shop!

Seems like in the various LP finishes, there’s a flavor for everyone. Currently, I like some of the bourbon bursts. I’ve started a savings plan; not sure if I’ll live that long, but no guarantees anyway…

Managed to get this shot right. First one was taken with my iPhone 12 Pro that I hooked up to my MAC to copy the file. That was not working, so I saved the file on an SD crd and then plugged the card into the MAC, and it would not orientate it correctly. This second shot is taken with a Fuji XT4.
