I agree, the exclusion list is huge. And I see a new addition: Godin family.

MXR, DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan aren't excluded. Also Schecter, who is making some very cool S-type guitars these days. So those 4 plus Ibanez...hmm, if I was in the market, I'd bite.

Yup, I put a PRS Santana SE in the cart yesterday - no dice, so I didn't get it. This afternoon I tried it with a Marshall DSL1, again, no dice. Those are the only two things I want right now so for me it's a useless coupon.

Does Honey coupon Finder work on GC?

I would not be too concerned, they don't have much in stock anyway. I stopped into one of the local stores the other day, not one good Fender, not one bass I would buy, not one decent acoustic. They only had one used guitar on display and just a couple of small amps.

I have used those coupons for multiple items that are explicitly listed as not included. Fender and Vox amplifiers. Epiphone and Fender guitars. Boss and MXR pedals. VooDoo Labs power supplies. I have never been denied. It's called speaking to the manager.

I’ve used these in person if I show them my phone on strings picks straps etc and other small stuff no problem... saved a few bucks if you know what you need at least 20% off easy and if you are there why not? Got a nice leather strap the other day...

Hey! Speakers didn't make the list.

Celestion V30, Blue, Gold, Green. Well most of the line.
Eminence. Cannabis Rex $72 after discount. Not many of the Eminence line available.

Better order before they find the mistake. hah.

Hercules guitar stands are pretty nice and they pack down small for transportation. They'd be something I'd probably be happy to get at 20% off.

Just FYI, in my experience you can call Guitar Center on the phone and get the 20% discount pretty much any time of the year, on any item, whether you have a coupon or not. I will say it has been a couple of years since the last time, but I have done it many times before.

I don’t see Schecter USA on the list.

I’ve never had a problem using them in person on “excluded” items. It’s how i got my faded sg 400.

I try never to buy from Guitar Center after a couple of absolutely terrible experiences. One time they even tried to tell me I stole my own guitar from them after the realized it sounded better than all of the Tele's in their store. Good thing I keep the receipts in the cases, and it was from a shop over two hours in the other direction from where they are. Also you know...its a '96 Am. St. Tele that was not in their inventory.

I also recommend recording all of your serial numbers in a secure location so you know the one thing that can always identify your guitars, as well as any major identifying marks.

When I bought my tele the clerk rang it up as a les paul... I took the receipt back with my tele a day later and they gave me back the difference and took another 5% off.

Nothing new here. I've been seeing the same coupon over and over for years now.
But, once when I was visiting the store, and complaning about their 'exclusions", they offered me a nice discount on a Gretsch 5230T that I was trying out. Not quite 20% but close enough to close the deal.

AFAIK, GC has been doing this for well over 15 years. It takes awhile to get used to it, but the key is, don't get too excited until you read the fine print exclusions.

I wonder what IS on the list?

It only is valid with GC owned brands. So their garbage accessories, ect. I wish people would just let this brand die off, it's counter productive I think for the guitar business. We need mom and pop shops, not a Bain Capitol soul-less junk store.
