I like how with the lyrics he went back to a subject that was still real but fit the song instead of trying to force it into something else.

I’m a sucker for writers explaining songs, or the stories that spawned them. I found this clip riveting!

I was fiddlin' around the other day and ran into Paul Simon on my guitar. I started playing AA DD AA EE in the rhythm of "Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard". Tonight when I started listening to your clip I heard distant echoes of "Me and Julio" (all major chords) when Simon starts playing at 1:55 in your clip. He starts talking about his band mate throwing in the relative minor. Anyway, it kind of made me start thinking about what if "Me and Julio" had a minor chord.
