They played as well as I’ve heard them in years. Great energy.

Billy Gibbons' speaking voice and accent sounded exactly like my father's in that clip. Weird... I've never noticed the similarity before.

so good. I wish Howard would replace every actress and actor interview for musicians. I can't stand to hear one more "dysfunctional insecure actress" interview.

That's not Pearly. It is nice looking though.

I really like the quality of the Stern vids. That Crows Jealous Again vid is another one. Got a fantastically dirty sounding Rich Robinson tele in it.

In the YT queue algorithm thingy was a Gibbons/Fogerty vid playing a greatest riffs/hits type. What an awkward mess that was. It was like a bad infomercial.

I saw this awhile ago and thought it was pretty cool

It seems to me though that frank is either tired or trying to keep up just something is missing in the energy department and yes I understand they’ve been at it for 40 plus years

I’m really put off by those silly glass cages they seem to be putting drummers in nowadays more and more. It’s not rock & roll and I don’t see how a band can possibly play at their best if they’re not all in the same room.

I don't know, to me they have all lost the spark they had. The recording seems to have a zip that shows I have seen (on YT) seem to lack.

Love the guys and music but just dont see it anymore. Maybe im just being pernickety.

Have to agree with the Video and sound of the radio show, top quality there.

    Underwhelming. Sadly, not impressed.

I am not now, and never really was, a fan of ZZ Top; that said, La Grange sounded much better when it is was first released, back in the day.

I just hear no life in this music!
It's all about some kind of worship of ZZ Top style, the music is static- since Give Me All Your Lovin' , Sharp Dressed Man.....
I loved ZZ Top and what they did up to Deguello album (IMO) which is amazing , just blew away whatever this is.

Not bad for a tiny radio studio and Frank is behind glass because of it. I like the extra juice on the end, but yeah, fairly mediocre performance. Howard Stern sucks, but that is a whole different thread.

I liked the melody in the solos of the original release compared to the random riffing that he does now. The composition of the original solo is really top drawer. I'm too familiar with the original recordings that when I hear something else it's a bit of a letdown. I get it- 40 years on and wanting to mix it up a bit, but he doesn't really add anything to it. Still, I liked it.
