Is Zero Sum Gain a good band name? If not what would be?
Gyros From Spain
But I play for a band called the Bedlam House Band so whaddya whaddya?!?
(For a while we were Firetruck - because it starts with F and ends with Uck: you can have that one if you like!)
Maybe just Zero Sum
Depends on what you are going for. I would look over these Sci Fi titles and see if something grabs your attention:
How about Stories of Your Life? or change it a little and you could be Stories of Your Wife.
Maybe instead of Shards of Honor you could be Sharts of Honor.
Oryx and Crake works, but I like Onyx and Cake better.
Or, Sum Zero has a nice ring to it.
But not too complimentary to the band.
Zero Sum Gain sounds good to me.
I wanted to have a lawn care company and call it...
'The Mow Folks'
Wooly Mammoth Revival.
*Get Off My Lawn
CSI - Cargo Shorts Incorporated
How about Zorro's Son, Galen?
Zero Gum Sane,,,
I like the name "The Band, " ...
But that has already been taken ...
No because it’s not ‘cleverly distinguished’ enough from the real term - “Zero sum game”.
But it’s not horrible and most people would skip right over that.
Searches would be sub optimal...
“Did you mean... zero sum GAME...”.
For one band I suggested "Global Warning" but the band didn't like it.
My Gain Is True
Just Mow Folks works
Sum Zero sounds good
I agree, "Sum Zero" is a great band name in terms of English comp and poetry, but it would have to be a very unique band to assume the perception that the band equates to zero.
Any combination of Zero and Sum sounds very 1980’s synth-pop new wave to me.
