I mean, ^^^^^ these cats were straight monsters! Listen to the emotion, melody, tightness in the soloists and those laying back the arrangement. This was 90 years ago, would have been great great grandparents cuttin' on that session. And the recording too, the way you hear everything from warmth of the lead player to the mix of the players in the room. All likely just playing for one mic, insane.

Here's one for you, took this little video of my Dansette ages ago to send to one of my friends. Sound quality ok but you get a lot more mids and bottom end when you close the lid!

The needles are big compared to newer machines, and it is hand cranked. Perfect for that pre-war dixie land records. Now let me wax my moustache.
