a mate of mine told me that he invented something called 'rope' the other day as i was playing with my new flute. i just told him that he nicked the idea from fishing nets, which have been around for years. anyway, i said, what are you going to do with it, domesticate animals?
we both fell around laughing.

When you don't only like rock, you are one.

I don't feel like looking it up, but 40,000 could be not that old for a rock.

I print some documents and have a file cabinet full of folders. Nothing can screw some things up like a computer. Conversely I also scan them and store on my desk top PC. I don't like lap tops. I rarely write checks but pay my property taxes by check because of the sliding scale they charge to pay electronically. I'm 71 and haven't had to ask my kids for help with my phone or computers! Yet.

If you forget what you were going to type by the time you get to the bottom of the page...seriously.
And this isn't it.....
I was in the loft earlier. By the time I got up there I'd forgotten what I was looking for!!!

If you think black jeans are still cool.

....

...

If you are not a pedal steel player and wear a bolo tie.

.....

.......
I got questions:
I stopped buying black jeans because they look grey and lame after like 3 washes. Has science fixed this?

What If the bolo tie was inherited from a pedal steel player?

Also I got ones:

You're 40000 years old if you shine your own boots/shoes

Know how to change a caliper on any vehicle. At all.

Meticulously clean firearms after every use.

Tell everyone asking about a new Quilter on tdpri to buy a Twin Reverb.

Try Wranglers. They don't fad as bad.

If you're in a country ensemble, a bolo tie is appropo.

I don't personally own any shoes or boots that require shining (hiking boots and tennies).

Yeah, thems the brakes. Or used to be anyway ...;)

A clean gun is a happy gun. Some folks think running a boresnake is "cleaning."
They say stuff like "ARs will run dirty, but they won't run dry." BS!!!
I prefer my guns to be fully prepared to go bang when the whistle blows.

Quilters, or something like them, are perhaps the future of amplification.
Tubes, alas, are the past.

Party on Jakedog! 🥳
