It's been a hectic few weeks with work and family commitments, however tonight my wife and 16 month old son are out of town. Therefore I decided to to kick back with a local microbrew, my 62 RI, and my beloved PRRI. Haven't done this in a LONG time. I love my family with all my heart, but being able to steal a few moments and make some noise has become a special thing indeed.

Here's to popped-tops and warm tubes fellas!

I'm there with ya as well. Days like these are far too rare to cheapen with heavy-handed words. Enjoy!

I've been in that mental place so many times. It's what makes life so damn splendid Being in a different place with the ones you love, playing the music you love on the axe you love and a real nice mild beer buzz and no worries.

    Roll on Brother!

Well since I'm only 17, does my guitar, my amp and a can of Dr. Pepper count?

That would be suitable for a vi–IV–I–V chord progression, played soft and melancholy-like.

Beer and guitars - a match made in heaven. I'm currently knocking back a Monteith's Black Beer and on TDPRI rather than playing.

Yes. It might be from South Australia, but Cooper's Sparkling is magnificent. They also do a lovely stout.

I did the same last night - Les Paul and a PRRI, however. Also, my booze was a couple of shots of Bombay Sapphire, straight up, from the bottle in the freezer. Nothing but smiles...

Well seeing as I am technically challenged, I'll just say my rig is Squier CVC, an FM25r, and a bottle of O'Douls amber. Sorry no alcky for me but love the taste of beer.

Definitely. It is the spirit of thing. I have some buddies who are AA so they can't kick back with a beer, but some of them make a point of getting really nice boutique soft drinks (made the old-fashioned way), and it amounts to the same thing.

    Clinks your glass!
