    As in, born there...

Despite Les Paul being a native cheesehead, I bet more people know who Liberace is (was?).

    What about your own state?

As far as being famous, I bet Dylan trumps Prince (boomercentrism)

James Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Anderson. There are more, I'm sure. Just off the top of my head.

I'm in Texas, so that's a pretty long list. Is it SRV? Don Henley? Etc., etc. Hard to nail down one person.

In your state, my vote goes to the Spanic Boys. One of my absolute all-time favorites.

I like the Spanic Boys, too. They are far from being famous, I think

They were great, to be sure. But not what'd call famous.

Take your pick from Syd Barrett, Dave Gilmour, and Roger Waters.

You know, AllMusic.com used to be great for stuff like this. I remember when it first came out it was really a relational database. Cities, birthdays, states were hyperlinks and when clicked on would give you the entire list of people born on that day, in that city, in that state, etc. Used to love exploring that way.

I think I've heard of that guy. Born in Mississippi, though.

I'm in Canada... we don't have states we have provinces (my province is Manitoba) but I still want to play :D

    Most famous individual musician?
I'd say it's a toss up between Randy Bachman & Burton Cummings but we also have adopted sons (ie: spent their formidable years here) Lenny Breau and Neil Young.

As far as groups are concerned - BTO, The Guess Who, The Crash Test Dummies and most recently The Bros Landreth. All depends on the era.
