    Hey Charlie....ha.

You too!.....I always thought I could gain a respectable place in that event.

See you at the "suck-athalon".....I'll buy us a pitcher of a hearty craft beer.
If you don't drink?....not to worry....I'll effortlessly polish off that golden nectar all by myself.

    Be smart/stay safe....back to it.

I think I am a good performer and am a good bandleader. After 40 years I am still very much a work in progress and really need lessons more then gear. Some folks think I play well but they may not know who the really good players are. I can sing in key and am always early so the band keeps me around.

I think that I have a good enough knowledge of theory, and have developed a tasteful and melodic approach to lead playing, as well as having good enough rhythm chops to lock into the groove with the bass and drums. A well known and successful local songwriter once told me he likes playing with me because I don't show off, and I always play for the song.

I just can't relax enough to play music with others . I just freeze up and can not here or keep time. Playing with others is not enjoyable for me. my roommate used to encourage me to play with him an I'd just end like a bump on a log, listening to him play.
