I put the little warmoth turtle on the back of my headstock. Lacquered over so it will stay also.

Why would you reshape an original G&L headstock?

Bedazzled a strap once too. Doesn't last, they fall off. I even epoxied them.

Because it's and inexpensive guitar that I bought as a mod platform and it pleases me so why not?

bare is fine with me. I love the look of roasted maple, and I don't need to advertise anyone on my guitar (that's what T shirts are for)

My headstock history. Not in the correct order, but here they are. The 4 string bass was the first one I ever built. I stay true to the fender shapes when building those using brush script. The swoop style was an original, but difficult to do. The vox style is on a 5 string Phantom shaped Mandolin. And finally the traditional Ric headstock on a 330 clone, but using the Fender brush script as well.

I'd leave it the way it is, the wood is too nice to paint. When I see non logo guitars I assume they were built by the person playing it. I think that's cooler than a fender logo.

I always like to give a name to guitars that I build. I've got several sheets of rub on letters, remember those~
After a couple of coats of finish I apply the letters then put clear on top. IMG_20191210_082814154.jpg

I always got a kick out of the "Ferden" decals done in the Fender script.

I like other people's homemade logos, that's awesome. I've never been that fussed about appearances, I guess. The only partscaster I still own has never had a logo on it, but if somebody made me one that made me chuckle I would happily rock it.

Rothko and frost does great work, but if you're not in the UK the shipping cost and time it takes can really slow you down.

There's a guy on Reverb that does great work that I've used for my last several projects. He's on the forum around here somewhere too.

Left mine blank. If anyone asks, then I can tell them all about the build. :D
