You could bedazzle it with fake diamonds and rhinestones around the edge and call it the Rhinestone Bedazzler.

Water slide paper and an inkjet printer are all a feller needs. This neck is nitro on the headstock face, tru oil where it counts.

    .

I have done all of these:
    Keep it bare.
    Recontour the headstock and bare.
Use a vinyl black out sticker across half/the logo region of the headstock.
Use a larger truss rod cover that also covers the logo.

Always depends on how much modding goes into a guitar.
If I had to level the factory fretwork, do nut work, and so on to make it playable ... then I wonder the value of the factory brand anyway.

I think you should paint the shed green.

If you hang a fox tail from it no one will notice the lack of decal.

I wood-burned mine in (clean soldering iron works). Then I used a special secret formula (fine-tip Sharpie) to enhance the color.
This was all done prior to finishing.

The headstock shape is just something I came up with to be a little different.

I ordered a custom decal from someone on Etsy.....and it looked TERRIBLE!
I ended up hand lettering, with paint pen markers. I used a black, "chisel point" marker at first, then went back with metallic silver inside the black. Pretty amateurish, but I spelled it right and don't care what anyone else thinks. ;) LPJr 133.JPG

I've been in graphic design for over 40 years... but I would still be hesitant about covering up such a pretty piece of birdseye maple as that

I do them with my own brand - Whippersnapper. Use Avery clear labels done on my printer in a western font. Just stick it on over the finish. Fairly cheap solution. Haven't had any of the peel off yet.

    Yes it does!
I thought it was an original design when I was building it... Later, I noticed a pic of Brad P playing one of those and was like “Who’s this Crook guy stealing my design?”.:D

Because it's a pretty good looking mahogany I passed on using a logo on my Am Std/Warmoth.

But after reshaping the maple head stock on my G&L I just though it was a bit to plane Jane So....
