I caught a really good local TP&HB tribute band last weekend. They did three sets and played 36 songs, all the hits we know and love. While I like all those songs there's many more Heartbreakers and Mudcrutch songs that I really like as well. Songs you never heard played on the radio. Some of my favorites are:

    Wild Eyes
    6 Days on the Road
    Saving Grace
    Straight Into Darkness
    Something In The Air
    Louisiana Rain
    Dreamville
    Friend of the Devil
    Jefferson Jericho Blues
    First Flash of Freedom
    Good Enough

    What are yours?

Some other TPATH tunes you don't hear too often, although some may have been on the radio way back when, I forget . Tom Petty Radio on Sirius XM turned me on to most of these, many of which we do in our band.

    Room at the Top
    Angel Dream
    Swingin'
    Walls
    Runaway Trains
    Rock n Roll Star
    The Apartment Song
    Finding Out
    A Thing About You
    Cabin Down Below
    Ways To Be Wicked
    Dogs On the Run
    I Should Have Known It

Something in the Air, was a cover.
    For me probably:
    To Find a Friend
Heart With a Mind of It's Own (he mentions Micanopy and Brooker, gotta include it, haha!)
    It's Only a Broken Heart
I remember a video for Face in the Crowd, so it was a single, but it shoulda been a bigger hit.
The A&R man didn't think it was a single, maybe?
    R.I.P Homeboy.

Sure meant to include the Apartment Song. Great choice. Zombie Zoo, too.

One Story Town. The whole Long After Dark album is my favorite, and this opening track is classic Petty.

I know this was a single, but it was never one of his "greatest hits".

These are on the 2-CD Anthology, so they can't be too obscure, but no one has done a how-to on YouTube yet for:

    Straight into Darkness
    Change of Heart

A few of you have mentioned that some songs are covers. I say no problem at all to that because in my opinion Tom and the Heartbreakers did killer covers that I felt were often better than the originals.

    Something In The Air
I Just Want to Make Love to You
    Mystic Eyes
    Oh Well
    Green Onions

......and I love Spike. Such a quirky but interesting story. The mental video of that always makes me smile.

My current favourite TP song is Orphan Of The Storm by Mudcrutch. In fact we've just started playing it with the band.
If Tom ever wrote a duff song I've yet to hear it.
