Although... does that look like a flathead Ford/Lincoln engine to you? Seems to have 4 exhaust ports per side and OHV valve cover.
3 deuces could have been on anything in the early '50s... starting to think Cadillac 331.

Subject is valid though, because of easy interchangeability of Lincoln parts to Fords... and the better size, strength of a Lincoln spindle, axle, brakes, or motor. CarreraPanamericana '50 to '54 specials like The Iron Horse moved to Lincoln running gear after their first year.

It's a cliche, and one that people here will poop all over, but Born to Run is a friggin great rock song. I don't care what you think about Springsteen, or how much you hate overplayed FM radio staples. It's a great, great song. There's a reason it's been on heavy rotation continuously for almost 50 years.
