Yep... this is the one I was going to post. Gatton was just so fluid moving between styles. I love this whole vid but especially at 4:45. I was not a huge fan of his tone in many cases but am just a GIGANTIC fan of his playing.

Vince Gill is a national treasure.

What a great group of pros, working in utter unison. And who is the other Tele player?

    This one

It's no exaggeration to say that watching the original broadcast of this changed my guitar playing life - it introduced me to whole different approach to guitar playing than what I knew and refocused me on trying to master the instrument (and God knows I'm still trying!)

I was lucky enough to do a workshop with Jerry Donahue a few years later and he remains one of my few genuine guitar heroes - and vastly under-rated.

He's definitely not under-rated by those who's familiar with his playing. He's much too little known though.

He's been visiting Norway several times, and each time he frequented this music store in a nearby town. A friend of mine who sadly died a couple of years back, got to play with him at the Notodden Blues Festival some years ago. After that they kept in touch until the untimely death of my friend. Myself, I've been a big fan ever since I heard "Pleasure & Pain" from the Fairport Convention "Nine" album.

This was the first performance I saw with Albert Lee: and I have heard it a lot. Every time I seem to enjoy the bass playing more. Wonder what they had for dinner at that party.

Lotsa good ones here, fun tele pickin'. "Favorite" is generally hard for me to nail down, but for me, this one's gotta be up near the top, always. In fact, it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title of this thread.
