The last line from the best anti-war song ever, imho:

    'Don't you ever f*cking forget' - Utopia

I can't complain but sometimes I still do
Life's been good to me so far

And he took the train to God knows in the morning (Pogues)

Some rich men came and raped the land
    Nobody caught 'em
Put up a bunch of ugly boxes
    And Jesus people bought 'em

    I have my fears
But they do not have me (Peter Gabriel)

I can't write songs about girls anymore
I have to write songs about women
No more boy meets girl, boy loses girl
More like man tries to understand what the hell went wrong (The Pursuit Of Happiness)

The powerlines have floaters so the airplanes won't get snagged.

Counting Crows - A Long December
To see the way that light attaches to a girl.

There's nothing earthshaking about either of the above lyrics, but they always jump out at me when I hear the songs for some reason.

...and pretty much most of the lines in Train's - Drops of Jupiter

Now your Uncle Emmet, well he drives a Thunderbird, it used to belong to your Aunt Evelyn
Now, she ruined it, drove it to Indiana with no gear oil.
That was the end of that!

Moe Berg could spin a nice line or two for sure. My absolute favourite is probably

She went looking for the solution
To a problem that did not exist
She found a answer and found some friends there
Consciousness raising as a social tool

I’m surprised how few Roger Waters lyrics have appeared here. You could put pretty much all of what he wrote from The Dark Side Of The Moon through to The Final Cut into this thread IMHO.
Here’s a favourite from before DSotM:
Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant tide comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine
And another from his last PF album:
    Floating down through the clouds
Memories come rushing up to meet me now.
In the space between the heavens
and in the corner of some foreign field
    I had a dream.

I’m quoting myself and going off topic but possibly my favourite thing about Llanfair is that the Volvo dealership actually took the trouble with the name.

You get a like for quoting Moe Berg. That's one of my favorite songs.
