That Prisoner theme song, and the whole opening credit sequence with Patrick McGoohan in the Lotus and making the teacups dance is brilliant. As of course, is 2001 and its use of "Zarathustra."

Not the most hum-able theme, but for the first two seasons, you knew you were in for some serious action (and euro-fashion) when the machine-gun-like drums started:

Whoever edited this had fun syncing up the girl walking by in the bikini top to the drum roll, at about 15-seconds in.

This has got to be right up there, for font stylization at least. The real action starts at 1:08

Coincidentally, this is a opening track that I just hate. My wife and kids love this show so I suffer thru it regularly.

Sorry for the thread derail. Maybe that's a topic for another thread...

The Barney Miller bass line was the funkiest thing on TV in the mid-1970s.

It's very easy to forget that Jan Hammer wrote some great instrumental tracks. I always loved the two he contributed to Al Dimeola's "Tour De Force Live" album.

I don’t think I ever watched the show, but I learned the song!

This is my fourth, so I'm breaking the rules of the thread but this one is my favorite for recently made stuff. I really like the slight sea shanty vibe combined with the heaviness that reflects the intensity of the show.

Sanford and Son theme by Quincy Jones ("The Streetbeater") gave it a run for its money.

I can't think of any "favorites", but this intro is pretty cool:
