So many great sax riffs already mentioned! Let me add/reiterate the sax part at the very end of Fogelberg's Same Auld Lang Syne, Dave Koz-The Dance, and the piano/sax/classical and electric riffs in Al Stewart's The Year of the Cat. Great stuff!

Which riff or riffs do you love, that aren’t played on guitar?

I especially love riffs from electronic from the 90s that aren’t guitars, but would make sick guitar riffs, and I always thought Breathe from The Prodigy was an epic riff.

What’s yours?

Many, but one that comes to mind without going through a list is Edgar Winter's riff on Frankenstein.

Pretty much anything from Fever Ray's s/t debut. Not sure if they all qualify as "riffs" but 'If I Had a Heart' certainly does. And 'Neverland' by The Knife is up there. Oh, 'Fresh New Eyes' by Brainiac, too.

I like the Standup Bass riff on Miles Davis's All Blues. I've been known to play it goofing around on break at orchestra rehearsals. When I taught K-5 our Kindergartners used to really enjoy this number, and they learned blues changes on xylophone. They'd always remind me that Jazz is for dancing.

Anything by Greg Hawkes of The Cars. His keys riffs were so signature and integral part of their sound.
