Looking to get rid of effects. I'm kind of into something like a tube screamer with a secondary boost. I don't use that much gain, but I like a singing tone for leads. I need to keep it $125, or less. I'm considering a Full-drive, or an RC booster V2. Let me know about the others that I shouls consider. Thanks!

I like my T-Rex Alberta II. One side set to crunch, the other to a lowgain breakup tone.
I'll stack them with my fuzz or the overdrive-channel of my amp for highgain-territory.

I don't own one (yet), but the Keeley D & M Drive looks (and from the demos I've heard, sounds) cool.

J&H and AC Plus are both great units. I did not care for the Fulldrive.

The one I would like to try next is the Wampler dual fusion, since one side is the euphoria and that is an amazing pedal in and of itself.

My Fulldrive 3 has an option to change boost order... if you are driving an on the edge tube amp into crunch and meltdown, it is ideal.

I’d not choose it into an ultra clean amp.. it is for busting a tube amp. I use mine most with an old JMP.

The Comp Cut mode will melt a preamp.. it has got masses of boost and dynamics and has the most natural tone amp like. IMO. The other two modes have got more dirt and compression.

Analogman King of Tone (KoT) and if the entry price or wait is too steep/long, they have some fantastic clones out there that IMO sound 98% there. The original TIM by Paul C. is nice too.

Nocturne Atomic Brain is not marketed as a OD, but it can be used/viewed as a dual stage OD IMO
I have one and I love it

Wow. Those average about $250-300. Haha! That's a little beyond my pay grade, for sure. Sounds great, though. Killer drive.

I can vouch for the D&M as an excellent pedal, but it doesn't really do a Tube Screamer sound. The M side is closer to a Klon circuit, and the D side is closer to distortion than OD. And it would take some serious searching to find one under $125.

If you get a chance to try one though, so yourself the favor.

Has anybody tried the AMP11, or the AMP808 by lovepedal? I'm curious about these 2. Thanks!

I have a Fulldrive II (FDII) Flat Mids model. Thought about getting the FDII MOSFET years ago but never pulled the trigger. The Xotic RC Booster is single-stage,,,no secondary boost. I have the BB Pre-amp, also single-stage.

The Xotic RC V2 actually has a second switch for a gain boost. I definitely like how smooth it sounds in demos, but I have yet to hear from anyone who actually has one.

I have a couple of versions of the Full Drive. I like them. It sometimes takes a while to get a tone dialed in, but not bad overall.

The other dual drives I have are significantly out of your price point. One is the Keely D&M which is pretty special, but about double your price point new, and the used ones I see on Reverb are still more expensive than you desire.

The Blackstone Appliances MOSFET OD is quite nice, and works great, but, again about double your price point new, and I almost never see one used.

JHS Sweet Tea is a pretty great pedal, can get close to your price used. You have a TS on one side and a higher gain Bluesbreaker on the other I believe. I’ve had the FDII and FDIII, both sound better into a dirty amp than a clean one IMO. The Amp11 is a nice OD but I didn’t like the boost, colored my sound weird. The VS-XO is probably the most versatile OD I’ve owned, I kinda regret selling that one but it was pretty big. Right now I have a Box of Rock, I love the boost on that and the Drive side is going for the broken up Marshall tone, sounds really good and plays very well with other pedals.
