No, no at all.
Does anyone know what happened to Lerb and COLT W KNIGHT?
No - doesn’t seem like a good idea
I also think it might be a fun thought experiment to imagine dissimilar posters interacting. Like getbent and chet playing frisbee golf.
I doubt anyone would divulge folks they’ve blocked nor should they. Forums are virtual clubs. In any group there will be persons you like and those you don’t.
Not one vote for me?
You're all dead to me now.
DEAD I TELL YOU.
I do not know. But I have wondered...
I miss Ol’ Fuzzy.
And Tim Lamb. And E-Merlin. And Paul From Colorado. And Ed Todd. And Joel Terry. And others that have moved on from this plane of existence.
I still talk to Tim Armstrong via other social media. I need to reach out to Mandy Marie. We used to talk all the time. I miss her a bunch.
In general I like almost everybody here. The very few people I put on my ignore list I’m pretty sure all got themselves banned.
Everybody I’ve ever met in person from this forum, which is actually quite a few people, I’ve enjoyed meeting. Whether they came to visit Cleveland, or we met up while I was out on the road someplace, it’s always been a fun hang.
I appreciate the mentions here in this thread. Because this (music) isn’t a hobby for me, I can be a bit opinionated and abrasive at times. I don’t tend to take some things as lightly as some others do, nor as much as I probably should sometimes. I truly am thankful y’all have put up with me for the last seventeen years. It’s a cool place to be a part of. I’ve joined other forums from time to time (maybe a half dozen over the years) but I never end up hanging anywhere else for more than a day or two. This is the only one I’ve ever really enjoyed being part of.
There are lots of informative, courteous, interesting, and thoughtful posters on this site. It's what makes it so great. I find Wally to be as good as any. Maybe it's the threads I frequent that highlights his experience and knowledge. Whatever it is, when I read what he writes, I get the sense I can trust it. No pomp, no bs, no adulation needed or expected. He just shares what he knows. Thanks, Wally!
Lots of good folk on here. I appreciate all of you, but some honorable mentions are:
And where has ChunkoCaster been?
I feel like the kid from chess club waiting to get picked for a team in gym class.
Oh gosh, I almost forgot: my second thought experiment would be imagining you giving @Torren61 painting lessons. You are quite serious about it, but Torren keeps drawing outlandish caricatures of Bob Ross dropping his pants and doing obscene things with paint tubes.
Hey, if I were to join in with the nominating as this thread asks, you would be on my list Soulgeezer! You do come across as a perfectly good guy!
Get a room you lot....
Aww! Thanks at @brookdalebill @4 Cat Slim
I would have to nominate:
@brookdalebill for being super friendly to the new members and just full of positive vibes!
@william tele for being a cool laid back member but always has something awesome to share!
@4 Cat Slim for your support and “proactive” responses to members.
@Jakedog for always sharing your insights, personal life stories, NGD/NAD, and also an awesome singer/guitarist.
@nojazzhere For always sharing your unbiased thoughts and experiences!
Edit, If I can vote more:
Fezz is over at Strat-Talk now .
Honestly, I have not noticed any obvious characteristics of any 1 member for any one of them to be able to stand out to me.
