Is that the "Triple Tele"? Really cool! Looks like all three are "bridge" pickups. How cool is that!

    I'll bet it sounds awesome.

I have been entertaining the idea of making a Tele just like that, but with just the "middle" bridge pickup in place (no bridge, nor neck pickup)

Yes Triple Tele, all three bridge Custom Shop Nocaster pickups, no noise-cancelling position as it came stock. I put a Dimarzio Area T on neck for when I need quite cleans.

I have 9 Strtas, mostly AVRI, and 4 Telecasters, 2 MIA, 2 MIM, and they are all #1. Not a #2 in the bunch.

Here are my two favorites, A Clapton Strat and a Roadworn Tele. These are the two guitars I gig with (as well as the amp pictured with the Strat). I play them about an equal amount and switch depending on the sound I want for the particular song.

My only Stratocaster and #1 best electric I have ever owned.
It's just a 1997 Tex-Mex Strat (I bought new- now with Fender US pickups, and many replaced parts)

Not because it has perfect tone, or intonation as these are imperfect- but it is lightweight, funky toned, and always inspires me to ( think...) that I dont need or want to play another guitar, regardless of music style.

My #1 Strat is a candy apple red 1988 ‘62 RI (US) that I bought new in the summer of ‘89 for $475! The minute I saw it in the store window I new it was mine! Fender cut the heel of the neck a bit undersized but I’ve yet to bring myself to replace it. The neck feels like home to me every time I pick it up. It held the overall #1 spot for many years and all the wear on it is actual playing wear put there by me.

My #1 Tele is my 2006 ‘52 AVRI Wildwood FSR. It shares the overall #1 spot with my Heritage 575 archtop. In fact I’ve become more of a Tele guy than a Strat guy because of it. I can’t see me ever parting with these two Fenders.

I'm glad you like the look of it, I do too!

It looks great, feels even better, and sounds raw and primal like a good Tele should.

On the Triple Tele, I've just got to ask... does the middle position pickup sound like a wonderful combination of bridge and neck characteristics? (Full and rich, yet sparkly and bright, too?)

Do you like to use middle position pickup much of the time?

The Tele is an ever-evolving mutt. Nothing original at this point except the bridge.
The Strat is a scratch build. Bootstraps and reverse slant.

    Nope.

It just hasn't happened yet. I go through strats/teles like it's no one's business.

Problem for me is so many of them seem to tick the right boxes from low budget pawn shop CV's up to vintage 50s models and all ones in between. I've owned many over the years and when I find some silly "smokin' deal" on this or that they're often the first thing moved.

Even the best haven't stood out so much that I thought I couldn't get back into a comparable guitar.

My Gibsons on the other hand.....sheesh, they seem to be a little more hit/miss.

It's ironic because on the flip side so many players seem to nitpick every little detail of a strat/tele until they find a "good one."

Yes, my favorite of the three, as much as we all love the bridge tele sound, the middle position on this configuration is absolutely wonderful, as you said, bright but also fairly substantial and rich.
