I am actually on the process of updating my small collection, adding/replacing guitars that remind me my guitar heros.

So I own a Telecaster AV52, next week I should get an AV64 in sunburst, a Squier VM 72 Tele Custom, an Ovation classical 1613 and a Folklore 1614 plus 2 epiphone masterbilt.

What I'd like to add are essentially two:

- the recently announced Fender Joe Strummer Esquire CS and
- Epiphone Casino

I hold out hope that I'll find "grandpa's old guitar" at a garage sale, and when I open the case it will be an original Gibson Moderne that somehow escaped the saw in Kalamazoo.

We can all dream :twisted:
My spouse has been shopping a lot in antique/refin shops lately (and don't get me started on people repainting antique furniture instead of refinishing it correctly--I've already lost that argument) and I'm always scanning the stores for old guitars, knowing full well that Google has killed any chance of me happening upon an old guitar at an undervalued price ('Wait, it comes with a louspeaker I have in back, too!').

Only things I really have a hankering for are a HH Tele (I've got a Cab, but want more of a TeleGib setup or the Modern Player with the belly cut), a jazz box (maybe a Godin with P90s), and maybe a Gretch-y solid body--a Bo Diddley rectangle body would be cool.

I no longer have a list. I've owned most of the guitars that were on my list save for a 335 and a big bodied Gretsch. Only six remain and eventually it will be down to three.
My wish is that I could start over and avoid making all of the purchases I made over the years. I would end up close to what I have now but with different finish options.
As for amps, I would love to have a fully restored, vintage Deluxe Reverb but that's it.

Oh, and a melodica, and a nice chromatic harmonica (got a cheapie 8-hole, and who am I kidding--that thing is near-impossible to figure out).

Got everything I need/want, well I keep looking at Taylor 815 ce acoustic electrics, the old sharp cutaway version, but I REALLY don't NEED it.

Luckily I've managed to get the list down to a mere 4:

1964 Gibson Firebird III (2016 Custom Shop reissue) to replace my long-gone real '64;
Vigier Surfreter - there's no substitute for fretless!
Les Paul Lou Pallo - my favourite Les Paul so classy;
Sunburst G&L ASAT Special (Tribute would do) - it sounds so good.
