The guy who lived across the street from me was in the ambulance corps at age 10.
At the age I was still playing with toys, he was riding a bike through bombed-out London, wearing a tin helmet, on his way to bandage up wounded soldiers.
    He passed last September

my oldest son is fond of quoting G. Michael Hopf:

“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

Arrows are not that far fetched to utilize, if you know a trick about them.

Brilliant quote. The cyclical rise and fall of empires, no matter how great, is evidence of its truthfulness.

Author Saxton Pope befriended Ishi, one of the very last true primitive-living Native Americans and the last living member of the Yahi tribe, after his capture in 1911.
Ishi taught him a wealth of information

This is from the wiki article regarding Churchill:
"...Hiroshima and Nagasaki had been bombed and the war ended. Churchill was said to be unhappy with the sudden end of the war, saying: "If it wasn't for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years!"[12]"
