You were maybe thinking of the Great Plague of London, which was 1665-66 (and was the last major outbreak of plague in Britain).

I learned that thing about the guy who was banned and got himself banned again, that some people don’t know where Berlin is, and that when I work at home it is very difficult not to go back and finish updating that proposal that I was meant to finish earlier but sat chatting to my wife before lunch and to my dad afterwards instead.
Oh yeah and I learned that lentil shepherd’s pie is delicious. Hmmm-mmmm!

I learned you can figure out the outside temperature by counting the number of times a cricket chirps in 15 seconds, then adding 37 to that number.

I learned the crude oil sent for refining has to be a blend of West Texas Intermediate, a fairly light fluid, and something much heavier, such as Brent...refineries can’t efficiently refine pure anything, that a mixture is necessary..

and I live in the petroleum capital of the country...go figure

That must be it. I lived in Manchester for five years and would take my bicycle on the train to go out into the countryside and cycle. Once I stumbled across "The Plaque Village", Eyam, in Derbyshire.

I learned that the complimentary car wash in the local Toyota dealer’s service department has a taste for front license plates.
Really glad now, that I decided to back my truck into my garage when I got home. :D

    Probably banned....

    Some facts mixed with prognostication.
    Wait, I'll go check-
but the probabilities seem high to me.

I have learned that the ThorpyFX The Dane Boost/Drive pedal is the best sounding drive I've used since I tried my first effects pedal. It's frick'n awesome.

Also learned that Microsoft Zoom is a ridiculously easy to set up and use video conference platform that is way, way more than adequate for the purpose.

You may have been thinking of this one, which is reflected in English literature. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Plague_of_London

I learned today that I should read the whole thread before posting something that has already been posted.

I learned that when I have to pee, I should go do it before I start to respond to a post. Of course, that's....OH CRAP. Never mind.
