...you know what scatter winding is

...you can tell a vintage by the smell

...at night when your wife is sleeping, you are alone at the computer looking at pictures of... guitars

...you were more upset that your favorite player ditched his tele for a les paul than when the sub prime crisis hit

...when people talk about 2012 you worry first about a possible lack of electricity for your tube amps

    LOL... ok I'll play.

... when your goal is to have one of everything.

... when you reach that goal.

... you find ways to interject guitars into conversations with people who have no idea about guitars at all.

... when you spend every friday night surrounded by your three best friends- Lennie, Blackie and Lucille- and you are perfectly happy with this.

....after sitting down and figuring it out, you realize that you've probably put one of your luthier's children through college.

Your girlfriend's parents watch CMT with you and ask you to identify every guitar on every video ... and you can.

You see someone wearing a guitar and you know by the size of the instrument EXACTLY how tall/short/fat/skinny the guy is !

    There is no such thing....

    as a guitar nerd...

    its an oxymoron

    nerdiness and guitars

    have no association...

    coolness, hipness and guitars

    have a strong association

there are only avid collectors, hobbyists and enthusiasts

    rest easy:cool:

Oh no, no, no. This just feeds GAS. In this case support group means we support you spending more money on your addiction.

BTW, isn't that what we have here?

You carry a magnet, ruler, screwdriver, and a pocket tuner so if you run into a tele you can "check it out".

You have two of the same type of guitar; you can play one while you are looking the other

You have a guitar for your screensaver instead of a pretty gal/guy

Know how to date an amp or pot by the codes printed on them

You read an article in a guitar mag/book and can easily spot the errors in their data

    I need help!
