what IS it? i mean it looks cool.
looks like you and me are on opposite side of the fence.
i prefer BAGPIPES over some stupid accordion any day, lol.
Nobody ever marched into battle with accordions...
yeah....they just kinda.....wouldnt have SCARED MEH!
And I guess your guitar cord is long enough?
Admit it-if you saw these guys headed your way there would be at least a slight feeling of discomfort...
i dont know man....i like playing through loud amps. and having a band.
I'm sure the Polka groupies would bring something interesting to the table...
Technically, those guys are sauntering...
Technically the guy with the gun is about to shoot the accordion [emoji846]
He's required to do so under the Geneva Convention.
My first real job was at a Presbyterian college in Minnesota. Bagpipes and snare drum will make you skeart of whatever is coming over the hill toward you.
I wouldn’t say it makes me unhappy, some posts are amusing though.
A personal favourite are the crew who slam you for using 1 Meg pots on a CBS build; choosing ‘historical accuracy over performance’ then dismiss everything except uncompensated Brass saddles because Leo got it right first time and it was never meant to be intonated properly anyway.
Or maybe the NGD threads where the OP’s guitar won’t be any good until they take it to their tech, sand the back of the neck, strip it down, get some CTS pots, CRL switch, Orange Drops, Fezz Parka mod, new nut, compensated saddles and some Cavalier’s.
To be fair I’ve learnt some valuable stuff on here, seen some cool things and have worked out which threads are likely to contain nonsense.
As well you should, and further, I don't believe Clarence Darrow would have tried to defend you!
$40 “Rock Axe” guitar, $80 Vox StompLab, wire that came with the guitar, $99 drum machine, straight into a $130 8-track recorder.
So, no amp. Does it still count?
At TDPRI I’ve never been deprecated for my gear. And if someone did, so what? They’ve never played that guitar- what do they know?
How I feel about my gear is personal and emotional.
I own two Ovations and I love playing them. THERE I said it - now TDPRI come after me!
Before the internet, we didn't know that we were wrong about everything. Unless of course, we were married ...
I’m with you. Been on here for a number of years and most NGD threads are very congratulatory, complimentary, and encouraging from what I’ve seen. There are other forums where folks can be less kind, but the TDPRI crew has been very supportive of me through my ill conceived projects, technoical woes, and bouts of GAS. I’m grateful for it.
