Rock that bad boy!
Well it's the next morning and I've been sitting here noodling it thru my Roland JC22 and, even though it's still the honeymoon period, I think I can make an honest statement.
This is probably one of the best guitars I've ever owned.
50 years playing and scores of guitars over the years..so I can get an idea of a guitar fairly quick.
I'm aware of personal moods and shifting tastes affecting perception...but I think this guitar has 'it' regardless.
The only negatives are the P90 hum and, as mentioned above, the volume is essentially off at 6 or 7 so I don't have the usable range I've had with other Juniors.
But the tone is so rich and clear and complex I'm not going to try to 'fix' anything. Within that 6 to 10 volume it works fine and using the tone as well you can get several subtle and very usable differences in sound. I could use this for any type of playing I'm ever likely to do, without any pedals or amp adjustments. Bach to Blackmore.
Very, very pleased with this thing.
I have that one in a sort of vintage white.
I love it.
P90 hum is its soul: price I am happy to pay
I love Juniors but I wish they would put some kind of Esquire wiring in there as well
