What a year for selling, trading and buying guitars. I haven't actually spent a lot, but I've managed to acquire, try out and then either keep or move on about a dozen guitars since the spring.

Latest one came today....a new Epiphone Inspired-By-Gibson Les Paul Junior. Big fat neck. Other than a minor action/intonation bridge adjustment it's pretty well perfect. Very rare for a new guitar not to need tidying and setting up. The fretboard might need a bit of lemon oil but it can wait (it's raining horizontally today so I'm not keen to go up to the workshop just yet).
Highly recommend the new 2020 Epiphones.

    Have a gander...

@TG that is a thing of beauty. What a nice wood tone it has. I am a recently converted Epiphone fan and that guitar has it all! Congrats.

    Congratulations!

I know that’s got better-than-good odds of being a great guitar...

    I have a 2013 Epiphone ‘57-reissue Les Paul Junior...sounds great, looks great, feels good...everything you’d want in a LPJr.

Early days (day)...but it plays like butter and it seems to have a really sweet voice.

The volume is essentially off at 7 though...which shouldn't be the case with a Junior...so I might change the pot when I re-learn the audio/logarithmic thing again and get the right one.

Congratulation on your find. horizontal? So it's looks like a wet fall?

Horizontal rain is common here in winter. It's why the ancient Irish invented whiskey.

I'm trying to convince myself I don't need one of these.

I had a bolt-on Epi Junior, a while back. Gave it to my student, after she learned how to play 'American Idiot' on it.......

I'm expecting your weather, later on tonight. One of the new Juniors would be a great accompaniment. Love the fat neck, on an affordable guitar.

I refinished a Gretsch Special Jet, which is the progenitor of this Junior Jet Club I guess. The Special Jet is set neck, has the Dearmond 2000 pickups (not the 2Ks), and came in a transparent black or cherry "stain" (really the poly was tinted, the wood wasn't stained). I stripped mine and refinished in amber shellac.

The guitar is far, far better than it has any right to be at the price I paid for it. I'll never part with it, because it's that good, and according to the market it's just another cheap guitar. Nope, not to me.

    That Junior Jet looks cool.

I like this version a touch better thanks to the P90.

out here in godz country Ca-Ca-Ca-california, summer is just winding down, it's 11:00 a.m. and it's a sunny clear 63 degrees, the evening are cooling off a little bit. The low will be tomorrow at 9:00 a.m., 60 degrees fahrenheit / 15.55 celsius now rain , wind 2 miles an hour, 3.12 kph, sunny and clear. This probably is not exactly what a fellow that does not wish to go outside because it's raining horizontally wants to hear at this time but , that is the advantage of having the the folks that invented whiskey around for, you can do our penece for our sins, after all suffering builds character and moral fiber.
I wore out my petela from kneeling in prayer when I was a lad, saying acts of contrition and begging for forgiveness, then my aunts husband Louis O'Connell told me that's what the Irish are for, to do our suffering for us. My knees never recovered, Sherry Connelly would not kiss me because it was a sin, and she was certain that I had quit going to saturday morning confession because she never saw me there, now I know what my uncle Lou was trying to tell me.
Be well, and I think I don't get this gabby and give a hard time usless I get a good feeling about them. Oh do you play slide guitar ,you have the perfect instrument for it, by the by.
