Ya, I know. Too many of these lately. But it’s my NGD, dayum it!
I’m fine with the pickups; just lowered them a little. Tuners are fine for home playing. A bit narrower than my 60s Baja in both body and neck. No fret buzz. Nut is fine; put tens on. Intonation near perfect out of the box. Innards are working, for now, though I anticipate changing the switch out if and when it craps out. At that point I’ll upgrade the other innards.
I love my Baja. Other than the innards, though, and the headstock name, why is one $800 and the other $120?

Very nice! I'm in doubt if buying a bullet or an affinity.. I haven't understood yet if the pickups are the same or not..
By the way, that color seems to be not available here in italy (only black and sunburst).
Where did you find it for 120$? It seems a very good price to me

Congrats on your NGD! WRT the price difference my guesses would be Indian Laurel vs Rosewood, ceramic vs AlNiCo, and possibly alder vs ash.

@frettchen - Only black and sunburst in Canada too - not sure why. However I did notice that Ice Blue Metallic Affinity Teles are cheaper here ($234 CDN) than other colors ($299 CDN) - almost as cheap as a Bullet Tele ($229 CDN) - I find that strange and have almost pulled the trigger on th IBM Affinity 2 or 3 times!

Musicians Friend was running a sale. Someone here posted about it. A small ruckus ensued. Then, like a hospital nursery nine months after a blizzard, about a week later this board was filled with all the new babies;).

They're no longer listed at $119, back up to $179. Did your board come that dark? If so, I'm jealous. Mine was about 1/2 way between what a normal rosewood board looks like and a maple board.

That's a good question, and I would like to hear about that too. I can tell you that the Bullet and Affinity strats ARE different, as far as the neck goes. The Affinities have a smaller/thinner profile, and the headstock is large like the retro style. And the bodies of the Affinity are lighter, while Bullets are closer (heavier) to the standard Fender specs.
So I prefer the Bullet strats.
