Years are way off

Hi there I'm very curious about this tele hot rod? I have taken the neck off and there is a V in red marker ,S in black I looked up the serial number on the head stock ,it comes back as a MiM rosewood finger board, this one is maple date is a 02. The body number is stamped 2008 ,it has Seymour Duncan pickups..i cannot find any other info on this guitar sweet little tele any help would be appreciated..Thanks..

Partscaster? Fender’s record keeping isn’t too precise but the body and neck stamps are.

Does it by chance have a chunk of paint missing around the rear strap button? Like it got dropped on it?

No but it does where the neck joins the body..still don't understand why the ser# on the headstock comes up as rosewood fingerboard..

No idea, but I’d like to chime in that “years are way off” would be an interesting song lyric or even title.
