Hall of Fame pitcher Whitey Ford has died at 91. Called the Chairman of the Board, he was a left hander that played in the 50's and 60's with other Yankee greats: Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, and many more.

The Golden Age of Baseball has lost one of the best pitchers to ever play the game.

Absolute legend. 11 pennants, 6 rings, best win% (.690 wow) of any modern pitcher with at least 300 decisions, and winningest Yank pitcher of all time.

He was an all time great, way beyond the stats. Helluva teammate too.
    RIP.

Yogi and Scooter owned the local bowling alley where I grew up, and I’d see yogi around his hometown every Christmas time. They were pretty regular guys.
I’ve got 4 autographed balls, whitey, yogi, scooter and the mick.
    My youth.

I remember Whitey Ford's picture on the Wiffle Ball box when I was a kid.

I saw many Yankees games as a kid (on TV). My Dad was a big fan. RIP.
