Bought the Yamaha THR30II a week ago at GC in Tacoma Wa. I was kinda on the fence about it all week, after spending a couple hours in the editor app dialing it in, i’m pretty impressed. For the speaker size its putting out some serious volume and bass. Nice Fenderish cleans and edge of breakup tones are easy to get and sound awesome. Cant speak for the high gain tones cus I’m not into it. For a bedroom amp its more than enough. Im keeping it.

I have had one for almost two years. For home use, I use it 95% of the time with a Stapleton Princeton and a really good 5E3 clone collecting dust beside it. Great little amp!

Those amps are seriously impressive. I jammed with a guy who was using one while I was playing through my ‘57 Twin RI - a 40 watt, 2 X 12 amp. We played at “at home” volume levels, and the two amps sounded really good together.

Bought one for my son, he uses it with his Squier Jazz Bass, he loves it.
I have tried it, "in my opinion", it just doesn't compare to my Spark 40.
I also bought the Katana Mini for my daughter, it is perfect for her.
Tone is such a personal thing, you have to go with what sounds good to your ears.

I've been using a THR10 for a few years now, great sound and plenty of options to dial in (especially via the app over USB) and I find they do take pedals pretty decently.

Last year I bought a THR10II and a Jackson Rhoads from a friend who had been trying to get back into guitar and decided he just wasn't that into it. I think it was the V with a Floyd Rose that did him in, great guitar, not really good for casually tuning up, sitting down for a while and learning on IMHO.

Great little amps, plenty of range and these newer models have the equivalent of ALL the old THR series amps built into one which is a whole lot of options.

I would assume the THR30II is probably loud enough for a small venue when cranked up?

Been using the THR 5 for a few years. Loud enough for a desktop amp and lots cheaper. I've been through a few desktop practice amps and the THR is the good sounding.

Then I put a few pedals in front of it. Wow. Liked it a whole lot more and was easily able to dial in the few sounds I use live best.

Liked it so much I've often thought about the THR100 with a cab and pedals.
