Yeah, I get these lists are stupid, but...

Of the 10 best guitarists, ever notice how may go by a first name that ends is i / ie / y? Google a few lists on-line, and you will see:
    • Jimi Hendrix (most lists)
    • Jimmy Page (most lists)
    • Stevie Ray Vaughn (most lists)
    • Tommy Iommi (some lists)
    • Ritchie Blackmore (some lists)
    • Buddy Guy (a few lists)
Honorable mentions to BB and Chuck Berry for fitting the profile "sort of".

No point here - just something that occurred to me while driving the other day.

Awesome. That's what I've been missing! I've memorized my minor pentatonic scale patterns, I've got some expensive pedals and I've been practicing my "guitar face". Now, I just need to change my name to Joey and I'll be set!

    Peggy Jones
    Kaki King
    Marnie Stern
    Poison Ivy
    Nancy Wilson
    Bonnie Raitt

Depends on whose list. I've seen Allan Holdsworth and Bill Frisell on these lists.

If we didn't have lists how would we know who to like and respect?

My favourite guitarist who is not on that list also has a name ending in ie.
Must be some kind of conspiracy. The majority do have names ending in the above.

One of the nice things offered by guitar forums everywhere, especially here.
"Who do i admire? Lemme check..."

Lemme Check....................So there's another one that goes on the list, although I must admit I have not heard of him before.

If Steve Morse and Steve Howe aren't both on a "best" list, I just ignore it..... Guess we could call them Stevie Morse and Stevi Howe.

That should be "Lemmy" check, if you're a bass player.
