UPS man brought me this last Thursday. Idea has been in my head for a while. Wilkinson bridge and GFS Esquire guard. I have an old Mighty Mite neck with a rosewood board. Duncan lil' 59 and some old vintage locking tuners will finish it. I'm trying to go for an early '60s Carolina coast vibe.

Cool color, even my wife likes it and she went to college for color!

I bet it looks different in different lights?

I don't see any binding. Am I missing something?

Ah, I see it. I'm colorblind so I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

I like the color. Should be a nice looking guitar.

I hate to rain on your parade, but check its scale length. With the holes drilled as is, the body I got last week is well over 25.5".

    Neck pocket holes alignment

Disregard my last post.... Turns out I'm using a bridge with modern specs and not the 6 saddle vintage spec I thought I ordered...

    Apologies!

On a Telecaster, when I discover that the routings are not quite to USA specs for whatever reasons, I use the pickguard as my referencce point and eyeball the best I can to place the bridge. Tele's are a simple design, but they are also pretty exact. I have had to do that on a couple of occasions on these economy parts.

We've had many threads discussing GFS Tele bodies routed and drilled wrong.
Many of the bodies seem to be routed and drilled correctly though.

Modern bridge on string through body drilled for vintage bridge is no bueno. Another useless bit of knowledge I've acquired is a modern bridge that accepts a Telecaster pickup does not cover a humbucker route.

I've assembled two partscasters with XGP bodies. No problems.

One with an Allparts TRO-V neck and one with a Fender Baja 50's. Both fit perfect.

Nice color you have there. Pictures definitely.

Colorblind doesn't mean you can't see colors. It means parts of the spectrum are kinda scrunched up together. For me brown, red, and green all kind of blend together.
