It's a real interesting documentary. The Wrecking Crew were one of the most important soundtracks to my life in the 60's - though unbeknownst to me at the time.

Can't wait for this one. Great musicians and interesting characters. Used to read Tommy Tedesco's column in Guitar Player years ago. It was always great and I always learned something.

I saw it at a private showing and it is excellent! If it shows in your area I highly recommend that you go see it.

There was way more footage shot than could be put in the movie. When it makes it to DVD they will be able to include quite a bit of the extra footage which will be a bonus to those like us.

Still recommend seeing it as soon as you can.

Recently watched the Muscle Shoals video.
I really want to see The Wrecking Crew.
Should be good with all that footage.

There's a local AMC that shows special runs.
I'm going to ask them if they have it on
    schedule.

    Thanks for the heads up.

If you have a Laemmle Theater near you that would be a good place to check as well.

I'm hoping this is as well done as the Muscle Shoals documentary. Also check out '20 Feet From Stardom' if you haven't already.

Just saw Standing in the Shadow of Motown last night. Excellent.

And getting the Wrecking book tomorrow. That movie is in my future.

Will keep an eye out for that one. I hope they do a movie on the Funk Bros also.

Read the Wrecking Crew book a few months ago, totally interesting.
There was a hilarious story about a run in Leon Russel had with the LAPD, I hope it's in the film!

The Funk Brothers movie is called Standing In The Shadows Of Motown, and was released quite a few years ago.

Not a great doc, per se. Not much of a through line in terms of story, more of a collection of factoids and cool moments. As such, it's a treat for fans of the music and musicians, but it's not on the level of, say, the Muscle Shoals doc as a film experience.
