    Hi.

“The uploader has not made this video available in your country.”

Who is the uploader? Sometimes (but not always) if I go direct into YouTube on my computer, rather than following a link, it works. But, I need to know who to search for.

    Thanks.

I clicked on the title "The Wrecking Crew" top left, worked fine.

    Hi.

It’s geo-blocked. Seems the link is fine in the States, but not everywhere else.

Edit: I just looked a little harder. Seems to be on the YouTube Movies channel and provided by Magnolia, which is the production company. So, I’m guessing it geo-blocked for distribution / licensing reasons.

At the risk of being iconoclastic, it's not one of my favorite music documentaries. Everyone in the Wrecking Crew were excellent musicians (and I used to love Tommy Tedesco's column in Guitar Player), but they played on so much L.A. schlock in the 1960s and '70s. Standing in the Shadows of Motown features equally brilliant session musicians performing on fantastic songs.

    Hiya.

Thanks for reminding me. Watching it again right now, on Vimeo. Image is a bit dodgy, but sounds okay.

I was fortunate to see the Funk Brothers live twice in the mid-2000s: the first was in a great former theater in Seattle, where Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart came out to sing with them on the encore. The second was at a California winery a few years later, and already a few of the players in Seattle had passed away.
